Ciggie prices go up by 20 sen today

KUALA LUMPUR: British American Tobacco Malaysia (BAT Malaysia) has announced a 20 sen increase on the prices of all its cigarette packs effective today.

“We were officially informed by the Royal Malaysian Customs on Thursday of a mandated rise in the ex-factory pricing of our cigarettes of between 26% and 58% effective Friday, Oct 19, 2012.”

He said that with the increase, Dunhill will now be priced at RM10.20, Kent at RM10.20, Peter Stuyvesant at RM8.70, Pall Mall at RM8.70, Pall Mall Plain (RM10.60), Benson & Hedges (RM10.20), Lucky Strike Plain (RM10.60) and Rothmans International (RM10.60).
