New SPAD service for an easy commute

The public can now search online for public transportation centres through a new service by the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD).

SPAD, in a statement, said the Public Transport Terminal Information System (PTTIS) allowed users to view detailed information on major public transport terminals throughout peninsula Malaysia.

Visitors need to only click any icon on the map to view information of the terminals, which would include their GPS coordinates, facilities available, accessibility information and even photographs.

“Alternatively, users may search for their desired terminal from the drop-down list,” it said.

The online service allows for greater ease in locating terminals for buses, taxis and all rail systems.

SPAD also has plans to integrate a public rating and feedback system, aimed at improving and upgrading public transport terminal services.

The statement said the new online service was part of SPAD's plans to improve the overall standard of land public transportation services for the people.

More information on PTTIS can be found at www.spad.gov.my.
